Nothing happens overnight, especially when learning how to be a better parent. Rather than becoming caught up in the goal of perfect parenting, focus on how you can best embrace the journey. In this case, it's about small steps toward progress. Celebrate every milestone, no matter how silly or small. For example, it doesn't matter if all the toys got picked up. Your child was clean and fed and happy today is enough.

Rise to the Challenge
The parenting journey is not without bumps. Expect disasters and be prepared to think fast to deal with whatever crisis is brewing next.
