Your vulnerability can be scary, but it’s also one of your greatest assets. It allows you to connect with others and share experiences that might not feel accessible at other times. Also, your vulnerability helps give you authenticity and a sense of realness, which so many people are craving right now.
Your vulnerabilities are not something that you should avoid at all costs, however. Doing so would prevent you from experiencing joy as well as growth. When we avoid our vulnerability, we start becoming closed off and less authentic.

Take Risks
We often avoid taking chances because we feel like we might fail. However, taking risks enables us to grow and experience new things, and it doesn’t mean we will fail every time.
As long as we take chances that feel safe enough, we’re likely to get something out of them. When you feel ready to take a risk, ask yourself, “what’s the worst that can happen?” It may help to write down your thoughts on this beforehand.
Ask for Help
Sometimes, you’re just not ready to do something on your own. Instead of pushing yourself too soon, reach out to people you trust for help, even if it’s to talk. People that embrace their vulnerability make this a habit.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by your family, close friends, or a therapist if they’d mind helping you out when you need it? Don’t keep everything to yourself. Instead, ask for help and see if you can get it.
Talk about Your Feelings
It can be tough to talk about our feelings with other people. You might be afraid you’ll make a mistake or mess things up somehow. But learning to express your feelings is essential to growing into an authentic person.
When you’re ready to talk about your feelings, make sure you have the right people around you to help you do this. It’s also important to note that there’s no “right” way to do this. There’s no “wrong” way to do this, either. The only thing that matters is that you’re doing it.
Practice Self-Care
Self-care is a big one. When we’re introverted, it can be straightforward to push ourselves too hard and forget to take care of ourselves. If we’re constantly worried about someone else or what’s happening in the world, we won’t be able to take care of ourselves or help others.
While we all have different practices that work for us, making time for self-care is incredibly important. When you’re ready to start taking better care of yourself, pick something small to work on.
Don’t be afraid to say No.
People often feel afraid to say no regarding opportunities that interest them. It’s easy to get caught up in fear of not being accepted if you say no, however. Instead of waiting for that fear to paralyse you, own your no and keep moving forward. This may be a tough habit to develop, but it is worth it.
